BACKGROUND

About NĀMA Mental Health

Nāma is often contrasted with rūpa, which refers to physical phenomena. Together, nāma and rūpa constitute the entirety of an individual's experience. Additionally, some commentators extend the concept of nāma to encompass the mental components of the five khandas (aggregates), which are form (rūpa), feeling (vedanā), perception (saññā), mental formations (saṅkhāra), and consciousness (viññāṇa). Thus, nāma represents the union of these mental phenomena, forming an essential aspect of understanding the nature of the mind and its processes in Buddhist teachings. #Mentalhealthservicemumbai.
